As you know, we were planning to hold the African Peering and Interconnection Forum (AfPIF) in Kigali, Rwanda from 18-20 August 2020.
However, following the worldwide outbreak of COVID-19, we have been closely monitoring the developments of the pandemic and taking mindful decisions to protect the health and safety of our community and meeting participants.
Given the current situation, the African IXP Association (AFIX) together with the local host, the Rwanda Internet Community and Technology Alliance (RICTA), have decided that it is best to postpone AfPIF 2020 to, tentatively, August 2021.
We will continue to communicate further information on the way forward and advise on the new meeting dates.
