RICTA is a not-for-profit organization representing the Interests of Rwandan Internet Community. It was formed in 2005 with the objective of managing the .RW country code top level domain and the Rwanda Internet Exchange Point. With our impartial position ensures that we enhance and promote Internet usage in Rwanda. Our scope of work is not only limited to managing the .rw registry and Rwanda Internet Exchange Point but also promoting the localisation of local content.
The Rwanda Internet Community and Technology Alliance (RICTA) supports the Rwanda Internet Governance Forum-RW-IGF as a neutral secretariat, endorsed by the RW-IGF multistakeholder organizing committee. RICTA also organises and runs the technical trainings like Rwanda Network Operators Group-RWNOG in order to build the expertise of local engineers. Our close relationship with international organizations on key Internet related issues supports us make the Internet a better place.

Meet our CEO, a dynamic seasoned ICT professional with a diverse skill set. She played a crucial role in repatriating Rwanda's Country Code Top Level Domain (RW ccTLD), enabling Rwandans to manage their national identity. Starting as an Engineer at RICTA, she rose through the ranks to become CEO in 2019. Passionate about empowering the next generation, she champions STEM education for young girls and mentors them through internships. She also spearheaded initiatives to equip Rwandan women with digital entrepreneurship skills, meeting the demand for online business innovation. With a drive for community impact, she co-founded Rwanda Operations Group (RwandaNOG) to enhance IT engineers' competitiveness. As a board member of AfTLD and ccNSO, she volunteers to support the global Internet community.
Geoffrey KAREGEYA boasts an impressive 14-year career in the dynamic realm of organizational management and operations, having made significant contributions to organizations such as Anglican Church of Rwanda Cyangugu Diocese and currently, Rwanda Internet Community and Technology Alliance (RICTA). Throughout his career, Geoffrey has held pivotal roles in Revenues generation, Human Resources Management, Business operations, Project management, Partnerships, Business negotiations and contract management.
For the past 10 years, Geoffrey has been with Rwanda Internet Community and Technology Alliance (RICTA), where he has served in various capacities. In his current role as Business Development Manager, he holds the reins for driving Revenue Generation, fostering business development, Partnerships and implementing cutting-edge project initiatives.
He earned his Bachelor of Economics degree from National University of Rwanda in 2010

Vanessa Mutete holds a Bachelor's degree in Accounting from AUCA and is currently pursuing her CPA certification at the Intermediate level. With over seven years of professional experience, Vanessa has dedicated two years to auditing and accounting roles and honed her skills further during five years in finance. Passionate about financial management and meticulous in her approach, Vanessa brings a wealth of expertise to every task she undertakes.
Meet Lyse Umutoniwase, a seasoned professional with a Bachelor's degree in Finance from AUCA and currently pursuing her Masters degree in Project Management and Planning from MountKenya University. With over five years of extensive experience, Lyse has honed her expertise in various domains. For two years, she navigated the intricacies of logistics, ensuring smooth operations and timely deliveries. Transitioning to finance, she dedicated over three years to mastering financial intricacies, adept at managing budgets, analyzing data, and optimizing resources. Lyse is driven by a passion for efficiency and excellence, consistently delivering results that exceed expectations.
Isaac Muraganwa holds a BA in International Business and Trade from the African Leadership University in Kigali, Rwanda. He has a proven track record of successfully handling complex situations and delivering work of exceptional quality. Prosper is a skilled Network and Systems Engineer specializing in Internet Exchange Point (IXP) and Country Code Top-Level Domain (ccTLD) operations. He ensures the seamless functioning of two of Rwanda's most critical infrastructures, Rwanda ccTLD [.rw] and RINEX.
